Relocation Status
1.
The Draft Environmental Impact Study (NEPA) was released October 2008
2.
The National
Forest Service has announced a 45 day public review period to respond to the Environmental Study.
The deadline to respond is November 24, 2008.
3.
After all
environmental issues are mitigated the National Forest Service will decide
whether or not to issue a Special Use Permit.
4.
Given
the Special Use Permit is issued, Construction Documents will be developed.
5.
Based on the
Construction Documents, the County will put out Request for
Proposals (RFP) to contract the building different parts of the Park.
6.
Estimate actual
construction of the park will begin sometime during
the
late winter of 2008 or spring of 2009
.
7.
Estimate 1½
to 2 years construction time
needed before opening the Park.
