Summer Schedule 
                         Begins in May for Memorial Weekend and
                         Ends in September after Labor Day Weekend

Daily Feeding Tour: Follow along as one of the keepers makes the rounds feeding the animals.  The keeper takes time to explain interesting facts about the animals as they are fed -- a great opportunity to learn about our wildlife!

Daily at noon (weather permitting) 

Animal Presentation: Gather around for a closer look as a keeper brings one of the animals out onto the grass.  Perhaps an owl, an eagle or maybe the raccoon.   Enjoy an informative talk about the featured animal.

WILDLIFE AWARENESS PROGRAM:    A Traveling Wildlife Education Program Featuring Live Animal Ambassadors - Available to outdoor science camps, schools and community groups by special arrangements call (909) 584-1299.  Program fees start at $175 for Big Bear Vallley presentations; Other San Bernardino mountain communities, $210; Off the mountain immediate surrounding communities (i.e San Bernardino, Redlands, Hesperia, Victorville), $250 + $20/hr; Beyond immediate surrounding communities $275 + $25/hr. GROUP TOURS in the Animal Park: These tours are led by volunteer docent and must be arranged at least two weeks in advance and are offered on a first-come first-serve basis.  The maximum group size is 80. Tours are conducted Monday through Friday. Call (909) 866-9700 for reservations - Cost: Groups 1-25 is  $200;  For each additional person add $4.00. Every Saturday Night in October

FLASHLIGHT SAFARI:  Experience the park's nocturnal animals. Gates open 6:15 PM and close at 6:30 PM to start the tour.  Bring your flashlight and ware warm clothes. Regular Admission: Under 3 years old free, for ages 3-10 $6.00, and over 10 years old $9.00. For more information call (909) 584-1299.

SPECIAL EVENTS:  All special events in the park, except the Photography Contest, Ice Cream Safari, and Music in the Zoo, have no additional costs--regular admission applies.

May 15
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: You can use film or digital cameras. Four photography groups: Advanced, Intermediate, Apprentice and Children (under 13 years old). First Place Winners will be published in a professionally designed 15 month calendar. All photo contestants will receive a free copy of the calendar as a thank you for supporting the Moonridge Animal Park. Adults $15 and Children $10 -- includes regular park admission. BEAR COUNTRY FAIR:  Enjoy country fair activities for the whole family. Includes face painting, jewelry making, bear toss, and bear roaring contest. Also pie eating contest between our 3 black bears--who eats their pie the fastest? View 2010 Flyer or call (909) 878-4200 for more information.

This is a fundraiser for the Zoo's relocation.  Previously known as the Alpine Wildlife Celebrationand renamed to pay tribute to the fan clubs of the actors of "The Sentinel" TV series.  Open to the public, this event will feature our popular Animal Adoption Auction.  For more information, please call (909) 878-4200 for more information. .

22nd Annual ZOOCCASION:  An educational program with a several fun games for kids such as a Walk-around-the-Park quizzes to win an "Expert Wildlife" button. For more information call (909)878-4200.

BLUES FOR THE ZOO: The Blues for the Zoo Concert Celebrating 50 Years of Sanctuary. It is a golden anniversary concert event. To be held outdoors at "Swim Beach" at Big Bear Lake. Read details here. The venue presents international known blues artists: Opening with Guy Davis, then Cafe R&B and closing with the Delta Guitar Slingers - Lucky Peterson, Michael Burks and Sherman Robertson. Tickets go on sale May 1, 2010.

August 21 - 22

6th Annual NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS FESTIVAL: Native American dance and song along with Native American Artisan's displaying their art and craft work (for sale). Plus fried bread and tacos to eat!  Also special Native American animal storytelling. For Visitor Flyer click here.

September 4

RUN FOR THE GRIZZLIES: 15th Annual Harley Bike Run fundraiser for our Grizzly Bears. Open to the public and all bikes welcome! Poker Run around the Lake with 7 stops including our animal park. More Information Background and History of event. There is no pre-registration.

October 16

WOLF AWARENESS DAY:  We dispel myths about wolves and inform everyone of their importance within the circle of life. Have a fun day at the zoo with fun activities for the kids.  For more information, call  (909) 878-4200.

BOO IN THE ZOO: Bring the children on this special day for a late afternoon/early evening of Tricks 'n Treat--The Graveyard, Pumkin Patch, Electric Dungeon of Doom, Witches Brew, Scarecrow Land, Witches Lair, and Goblins throughout the park.  Also enjoy seeing the park animals receive their Halloween treats too!  For more information call (909) 878-4200.
